Jaqui Dow - Chairperson
On leaving school I qualified as a nurse and have always been passionate about working in the care sector, in various areas such as social work support services, children's residential care and fostering most of my life. A busy mum of twins girls now nearly 16 and three dogs, I also work with my husband in our Property Development Company, building bespoke properties for clients and small developments that we sell on. I aspire to people who go the extra mile and put back into their communities to better the lives of others.
Sharon Arthur - Treasurer
I am married to Derek and we have three sons. Our son Paul is a Young Adult with Fairway Fife. I joined to help our on the committee in 2012. I enjoy seeing all the young adults and peer mentors mixing together and enjoying many events out together.
I live locally and work part time. I like cooking and trying new recipes. I enjoy dancing and doing a bit of hula hooping!
Tony Boyle - Board Member
My Name is Tony Boyle, I am 57 years old. For 30 years I was a Lorry Driver with the Ministry of Defence. I was also in the Territorial Army for 33 years and held the rank of Staff Sergeant for many years andI think this is where I developed my organisational skills. Since 1984 I have been supporting young adults with special needs on a Pilgrimage to Lourdes for a week at Easter. Looking after all aspects of their care. Five years ago I had a change of career and moved to work at West Fife Community Support Service supporting young adults to access community based activities. I have a 33 year old son with special needs who is on the Autistic Spectrum as well as other needs. I have been on the Board of Fairway for a couple of years now.
Mary Grant - Facilitator
My name is Mary Grant, I have been with Fairway Fife for 6 years. I have always worked with young people and tried to ensure they get the support, encouragement, development, respect and fun they deserve. Past history and jobs include an honours degree is Tourism, working at Fife College on a mentoring program, Get ready for work as lead tutor and also a senior vocational assessor and internal verifier. I have mixture of skills which suits my current as charity co-ordinator perfectly.
